If you want to get a little more fancy with Sothink Free Video Converter, you'll be able to. By looking under the Advanced section, you can trim the start and end time of videos, as well as changing specifications like frame rate and video and audio codecs. If none of this interests you, feel free to simply pick a preset profile from the drop-down menu under Encoding Settings, and Sothink Free Video Converter will do all the work for you.

Great Product, Terrible Administration of Product.
Dear Sirs,Have purchased to Sothink Transcoder for Video files but due to 'changes in hardware' (I installed a SSD for my C: drive and regularly update my Hard Drives as I do a lot of video work and need HD space), my registration number has been blocked.What another issue is that the software constantly asks me to re-register the program, which I have to do each time I run it. Even if I run it as an administrator next time a run it again, again I need to register it.Now I can use it because of Hardware Changes.....Is this really your business when I play with the configuration of my PC to enable me to have greater video rendering efficiencies?This is really a good way to alienate a customer. I certainly will not buy any other items from Sothink and SourceTec. if this is not fixed fairly quickly, I am happy to surf the WEb sharing my experience.Thank you.

Great in all but one scenario.
Its good, and reasonable people don't mind paying a bit for software. The price is good, and in all cases but one, it works well. I have had one problem. With Windows 7 64bit trying to encode an MPG that is stored in MPEG-2 format, trying to encode it in flv, and the program crashes. All other methods work, ie ok using 32Bit with MPG and ok 32 and 64bit doing avi VC-1 video format. I have raised a support query with sothink, so will see how that goes.
